📋 Selection Process
The selection process for Scientist/Engineer 'SD' and 'SC' posts will involve a rigorous two-level evaluation:

Written Test:
- Candidates will be initially screened based on their online applications for shortlisting to the written test.
- The written test will be conducted in 18 cities across India (Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram).
- The test will comprise two/three parts depending on the post:
- Part-A (Area/Discipline Specific): 80 marks (for M.Sc. based posts, 90 mins) or 60 marks (for M.E./M.Tech. based posts, 75 mins). Marking: +1 for correct, -1/3 for incorrect.
- Part-B (Aptitude/Ability Tests): 20 marks, 30 mins, Multiple Choice Questions (No negative marking). Based on Numerical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Diagrammatic Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, and Deductive Reasoning.
- Part-C (Descriptive Questions - Only for M.E./M.Tech. based posts): 20 marks, 30 mins. Technical questions relevant to main specialization/discipline.

The final merit panel will be generated based on a 50% weightage for Written Test marks and 50% weightage for Personal Interview marks.

The application fee structure varies for the Scientist/Engineer 'SD' and 'SC' posts:
- For Scientist/Engineer 'SD' (Post Code 01-03):
- There is NO application fee for these posts.
- For Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Post Code 04-16):
- Initially, all applicants are required to pay a uniform application fee of ₹750/-.
- Refund Policy (applicable only if candidates appear for the Written Test):
