β Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PNB Apprentice recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria as of **01 January 2026**:
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than **02.01.1998** and not later than **01.01.2006** (both dates inclusive).
Age Relaxation:
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines:
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST): 5 Years
- Other Backward Classes (OBC β Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 Years
- Widows, Divorced Women, and Women Legally Separated:
- Up to 35 years for General/EWS candidates.
- Up to 38 years for OBC candidates.
- Up to 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
- For applicants under NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme), the maximum age for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates (excluding the 'widows etc.' category above) must not exceed 34 years as on 01.01.2026.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a University/College/Institute recognized or approved by Govt. bodies/AICTE/UGC.
- The result of the qualifying examination must have been declared on or before 31 December 2025.
- Candidates applying for training seats in a particular State/UT must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the local language of that State/UT.
- For candidates registered under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), the date of passing their Graduation should not be more than 4 years preceding the cut-off date i.e., 01.01.2026.
π° Salary & Benefits
The PNB Apprentice program offers a competitive monthly stipend to support candidates during their one-year training period. This is a valuable opportunity to earn while you learn! No other allowances or benefits are applicable.

The stipend will be paid upon completion of each month, with adjustments for any unauthorized absence. This engagement is for training purposes, and apprentices will NOT be treated as permanent employees of PNB, nor will they be entitled to regular employee benefits or claim employment after training. β
π Selection Process
The selection process for PNB Apprenticeship 2026 is designed to identify deserving candidates and involves multiple stages:
- Online Written Test: This will be the primary screening stage.
- Document Verification: Verification of all original and self-attested copies of eligibility documents.
- Test of Local Language: To assess proficiency in the local language of the applied State/UT (if not evidenced by 10th/12th mark sheet).
- Medical Examination: Candidates must be declared medically fit as per Bank's requirements.
Online Written Test Pattern:
The online examination will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and will be conducted in English and Hindi (except for the General English section). It will be of 60 minutes duration.
