✅ Eligibility Criteria ✅
Candidates must meet the following stringent eligibility conditions to be considered for the JAG Entry Scheme 124th Course:
Age Limit 🎂
- Applicants must be between 21 to 27 years of age as on 01 July 2026.
- Candidates born not earlier than 02 July 1999 and not later than 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
- The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate will be accepted.
Educational Qualification 🎓
- Possession of an LLB Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10+2) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- It is mandatory for all candidates, including those with LLM qualifications, to have appeared for the CLAT PG 2025 Score.
- Candidates must be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State.
- The degree should be from a College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India.

- A candidate must be either a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin (with specific conditions for permanent settlement in India).
🎯 Selection Process 🎯
The selection process for the Indian Army JAG Entry is meticulous and designed to identify individuals with the highest potential for leadership and legal aptitude. The stages include:
- Application Shortlisting: Applications will be shortlisted based on the vacancy to call-up ratio and primarily on the CLAT PG 2025 score. The Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications.
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 5-day Service Selection Board (SSB) interview at designated centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar). The SSB interview is a two-stage selection process. Those who clear Stage I proceed to Stage II.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a thorough medical examination to ensure they meet the prescribed medical standards of the Indian Army.
- Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the SSB interview. In case of a tie in SSB marks, older candidates will be ranked higher. If both SSB marks and age are the same, candidates with a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination will be placed higher.
- Pre-Commission Training: Medically fit candidates, who feature in the merit list within the stipulated vacancies, will receive joining letters for Pre-Commission Training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.

- Officer Entry/Registration: Click on 'Officer Entry Appln/Login'. If you are a new user, click on 'Registration' and fill the online registration form carefully. If already registered, proceed to login.
- Apply Online: After registration/login, go to your Dashboard and click on 'Apply Online'. A page titled 'Officers Selection - Eligibility' will appear.
- Select Course: Find 'Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course' and click the 'Apply' button next to it.
- Fill Application Form: The 'Application Form' page will open. Read all instructions thoroughly. Fill in your personal information, communication details, educational qualifications, and details of previous SSB attempts across various segments.
- Save and Continue: Ensure you click 'Save & Continue' after completing each section before moving to the next.
- Review and Submit: On the last segment, you will see a 'Summary of your information'. Carefully review all the details. Once confident of correctness, click on 'Submit'. Remember, you must click 'Submit' each time you open the application for editing any details.
