Purpose of RTPS Bihar Online Application
Traditionally, obtaining essential certificates from government offices involved a lengthy and often time-consuming manual process. To alleviate this burden and enhance public service delivery, the Bihar state government introduced the RTPS online platform. This facility empowers residents to conveniently apply for these vital certificates from their homes, requiring only an internet connection, thereby saving significant time and effort by eliminating the need for physical visits and long queues at government offices.
Important Information Regarding Certificates
- An individual's caste is determined based on the caste of their father, not their husband.
- Caste certificates generally hold permanent validity.
- Permanent residence certificates are always valid, while temporary residence certificates are valid for one year from their issuance date.
- Income certificates typically have a validity period of one year from the date of issue.
- After verification, original documents submitted by applicants will be returned.
- Candidates can submit an undertaking in the prescribed format for non-creamy layer certificates, allowing a new certificate to be issued based on an old one, along with the undertaking.
- For state services, re-obtaining a non-creamy layer certificate is not always necessary; an application can be submitted with an old certificate accompanied by a valid undertaking.
