- Permanent residence certificates are always valid, while temporary residence certificates are valid for one year from their issuance date.
- Income certificates typically have a validity period of one year from the date of issue.
- After verification, original documents submitted by applicants will be returned.
- Candidates can submit an undertaking in the prescribed format for non-creamy layer certificates, allowing a new certificate to be issued based on an old one, along with the undertaking.
- For state services, re-obtaining a non-creamy layer certificate is not always necessary; an application can be submitted with an old certificate accompanied by a valid undertaking.
How to Apply Online for Certificates
Follow these steps to apply for various certificates via the RTPS Bihar portal:

- Register/Login: If you are a new user, select "Register Yourself" to create a Login ID and Password. Existing users can log in directly.
